In the country of Spain you will be able to find the city of Zaragoza. This city which is also the capital of the Zaragoza province is located in the autonomous community of Argon. It is situated near the Ebro River and its tributaries which are called the Huerva and Gállego. The city of Zaragoza is located within a valley near the center of the Zaragoza region. Here you will be able to see a variety of landscapes which range from a desert to mountains, meadows and thick forests. While exploring the city, I noticed an abundance of Olive oil trees scattered everywhere, it was the first time in my life that I had ever gotten this close. I'll probably have the same sensation when I finally get to see an apple tree

As you enter this city more you will find there are a number of interesting places that you will be able to visit. These sights along with the shopping, relaxing in fine restaurants and recreational centers will allow you to savor the delights that you will be able to find here in Zaragoza. To help you make the best out of your holiday you may wish to spend some time getting acquainted with this city.

Tourists can enjoy the regional dishes served in bars, pubs and restaurants which cater to various people's budget. This place has a number of exotic and luxurious places that have middle eastern influence. You must not miss going out for tapas. Some of the food items popular in this place are Aragon baby lamb, Teruel ham, virgin olive oil, vegetables and fruits from river Ebro, etc. Terrace bars are popular when the weather is good. Our local guide, Javier a business student showed us his favorite spots for dining and trying an array of Tapas. In the city center we stop by an Elvis bar and was able to try some authentic local food, cooked snails in a red sauce.

A Chinese restaurant will have its own particular version, as will an Italian or Indian, but most Spanish bars and restaurants stick to what they know the locals will enjoy. Chicken, fish, meatballs or pork usually come with chips. Having looked at all of these wonderful places and sights of Zaragoza you will need some time to take them in. so head back to your hotel relax with a lovely coffee or drink and remember the many interesting places that you saw and have yet to see. While you are remembering these mark down Zaragoza as a fantastic holiday destination that you should spend some more time in.


Not too far from the center of the old city in Zaragoza you will find the Moorish Palace of Aljaferia. This castle is the most important Moorish building to be found in northern Spain. It was this castle that was used as the setting for Giuseppe Verdi's famous opera Il Trovatore which in English is called The Troubadour. Today you will find that the Aragonese parliament currently uses this castle for its many meetings.

Another great place that you should visit while you are in Zaragoza is that of the museum of Fine Arts. This museum is the most important of the Zaragoza museums. Here you will find a number of interesting exhibits to look at. These will include paintings by a number of early Aragonese artists as well as 15th century artists. For instance you will be able to see works of art by painters like El Greco, Goya and Ribera. Another museum which will get your attention is that of the Camon Aznar Museum.
